Few things are as frustrating as putting a vehicle back together for delivery to a customer, only to realize a new replacement part that was ordered early in the process isn’t the right part for the vehicle. Kris and Amber discuss the benefits of mirror-matching parts early in the process, to ensuring everything is in place for a proper repair. The process allows for a technician or parts manager to confirm part accuracy, and make sure that everything matches up from painted areas and color to technology inclusions and connectors. There are so many aspects to validate to make sure it is the proper component. Are the sensor holes the same? Does it have the same options? Is it the correct side of the vehicle? Do you have a defined process to avoid any parts surprises late in the repair process?
