SCRS Members,

2013-2018 Toyota RAV4 inner rear body panel may allow a section procedure that may let the technician perform a “small” or “large” repair for sectioning the rear body panel, and not requiring a full panel replacement. This can save the vehicle from having an intrusive repair as outlined in the TOYOTA TIS documents. Estimators and technicians are encouraged to always check OEM repair documents for approved repair and sectioning procedures set by the OEM manufacture. CCC, Mitchell, and Audatex each have “sectioning” or partial replacement labor set up in the database for this specific model. It is important to read and understand the labor premise and footnotes when performing partial replacement of a component in the estimating guide for included and not included operations.

Access to OEM Repair instructions can be located by vising www.oem1stop.com or clicking the link from the DEG Estimate Tool Box page.

DEG does not publish or suggest repair information. DEG encourages collision repair facilities to perform repairs to the highest quality utilizing OEM repair information and documents to perform safe and quality repairs.

The estimating databases are all intended to be used as a GUIDE ONLY – it is important to remember that the auto body professional performing the repair is in a position to thoroughly inspect, diagnose and identify the methodology and their unique cost of the vehicle damage repair.
