Mitchell users may need to use the “add additional labor” function to add a “child line” to certain repair situations where R&I and Repair of a component cannot be added together.

The appropriate workflow for these situations is outlined below:

1. Add the R&R of the component to the estimate

2. Change the operation to R&I. This will deliver an ( r ) next to the labor allowance identifying the lack of a dedicated R&I allowance, and that the R&R allowance is being used in its place.

3. Create a child line using the “add additional labor” function from the estimate line for any additional operations (repair, adhesive removal, etc).

4. Add refinish allowance from Labor only operations if necessary.
